Here are some ideas on how to use your water pipe stems along side your bong. The six arm downstem can be connected to your water pipe via an ash catcher or just by itself. A stem can be connected to other stems and then to the water pipe for more efficiency.
In the first two pictures, the six arm downstem was connected to a glass ash catcher and then to the water pipe. Please note that not every ash catcher can hold a downstem. In the first picture, we used a double chamber ash catcher in which we slided a six arm downstem. This way we increased the bubbling in the ash catcher's water pool. You can even add another downstem in the bong's water pool and then connect it to the ash catcher so you will have two water pools where the smoke will be filtrated. The second picture consists of a swirl ash catcher which is connected to the six arm downstem located in the bong's water pool. The smoke will pass through the ash catcher where is being filtrated and purified. Also any tart or resin are prevented from getting in the water pipe's water pool. Next the smoke will pass through the bong's water pool where is going to be cooled and filtrated again by the six arm downstem.
In the third picture you can see how the six arm downstem is being connected to the water pipe without the use of the ash catcher. Unlike the regular water pipe stems, this six arm downstem has more diffuser slits which can coole the smoke much more easily. See the arms in the last picture.
